Crisis services are available to individuals 16 years of age and over
who experience a mental health crisis.
You are having a mental health crisis if you are experiencing:
Thoughts of or have a plan to commit suicide
Risk of self-harm or harm to others
Overwhelming anxiety or worry
Symptoms or feelings of such intensity that you are unable to cope
During office hours, a person in need of crisis services can walk-in or call the
office, or go to the Emergency Department of the local hospital where one of our
Mental Health Workers can be called in to conduct an assessment and provide intervention
to help recover an internal stability and provide options for help.
After office hours, crisis services can be accessed at the Emergency Department of
the local hospital.
